Ylam Deme is an architect and artist. Bridging both realms, with space making her practice aims to rekindle forgotten memories, both enigmatic and evocative. The work ranges from private commissions for residential spaces to furniture, sculptural objects and dry points.
Drawing inspiration from folklore, storytelling, and her West African and French heritage, her creative expression embodies diverse influences. In its various forms, the work fosters an eclectic experience, inviting viewers into a realm where memory and imagination intertwine.

Based in London, Ylam Deme attended the Architectural Association in London (AA Dipl Honours, 2022) and has prior training from the Atelier de Sèvres in Paris.
